I've tried looking at the gladiator thing, it looks really hard to use. Also you need a lot of cash to do it.

I haven't run into any gladiatorial combat or ability to get married yet, but one thing that didn't seem to be in the demo (which I assume is the add on), is the ability to go to the bar and get drunk, and possibly pick up extra information about abandoned cargo containers, lost treasure, that sort of thing.. Amusingly you also have a drunkometer, and by the time I died in my last game I was a fairly experienced boozer ;D. Beware the Grue!
