I was just wondering if someone here could help me with a recent, and very
annoying problem that has come up on my Pc reguarding the favourites menue.

I use an external harddrive to both back things up, and transfer things onto my
laptop. for obvious security reasons, i only plug it into my desktop when i
actually want to use it.

One of the things I keep a back up of, is my favourites folder, ---- I just
copy it from the user directory on the C drive to my external harddrive.

sinse last time i did a backup though, my Pc for some weerd reason has decided
that the favourites folder on my external harddrive is the default one, and so
i can't use it unless my external harddrive is connected.

the favourites folders in both the user and administrater directory are stil
there, but I can't access them at all unless I physically go into windows
explorer. I certainly can't add to them, or use the favourites shortcut on the
start menue which is bloody annoying! especially when i'm trying to add things
like the smugglers3 website.

does anyone know how i get windows to recognize either of the favourites
folders on the C drive as the default one again? I've looked in the control
pannel and folder options but can't find anything at all.

appologies for offtopicitude, but this is absolutely driving me up the wall!

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
