Hi list. I was just wondering if i could have some thoughts on good headsets to go for. My problem is i tend to break headsets lol i'm not sure why. But i Must have gone through around 2 or 3 in the past 3 years or so. Guess its because i have to pack them up in a laptop bag a fair bit. My problem is either they break because of loose connections in the wires, or the mic stops working. I have just gone through yet another one and i'm looking to replace yet again. My problem is although I can find lots of sites out there on the net selling them its really hard to get good solid technicle details on them. Its even more anoying to go along to a store, and then not to be able to look at them as they are all sealed up in plastic. Basicly i'm after a bynaural headset, that's also a supra-aural headset. That means if i've understood it right that the sound is equally distributed across both ears, and the supra-aural part means that you just have the pads of the headset resting on top of your ears rather than being in a cup form and going all the way round your ears. ugg i really hate those headsets. That's been my worst problem in the past getting the thing home then finding those ear cups. I would also like the headset i go for to bbe one where the band goes across the top of your head rather than round the back of your head, i'm not sure if there is a technicle term for that. my last problem is the mic i'm after one where the mic is adjustable but not where the boom, by boom i think i'm using the right term i mean the actual part you talk in to. anyway what i really hate with a lot of headsets i've recently sceen is where the boom as in the bit on the end of the swivel arm that is used to put the mic away when you have finished talking is on like a kind of bendy stalk thing. I no a lot of sites say they are designed to be bent to make mic adjustment easier, but i find they break so quickly its very anoying. If anyone has any thoughts i'd like to here them. Thanks for your help. Alex.
