Hoping this email don't become too long.
No success with using a RC cable to get a voice and sound from the computer to
be recorded at the same time.
IN fact I only tested this out on the front panel on my computer.
This may not allowed me to do the want task of feeding sound mix back through a
Microphone or line in.

Pick, Pick Pick at it and did by just chance got it figured out.

Below is a way to set up your Vista cmputer to allow voice and sounds like Jaws
to be heard.
Now I have not tested it out during a recording, but in a chat room on FTP that
is for testing your microphone.
None the less it should work.

Now I will explain it in short terms here for those who had to deal with this
issue and knows the places I am refering too.

What I have found out by chance has to do with setting the sound card defaults.
So you will need to find out what is set to default.
Open the Sounds from Control Panel.
Which Tabs to Recording.
Select Microphone from the list box.
Now tab twice. If you don't see a default button then the Microphone is not
the default.
Tabbling more and returning back to the list box and still no default button
then surely the MIcrophone is not the default recording device.
In the list box move down to Sound mixer. On my card the default button is the
first Tab down.
SSimply, if you see a default button then that device is not the default for
any thing in the list box.
When you see no default button that device is the recording default device.

Ok got that in mind.
The Sound mixer needs to be the defailt. Press on the default button while
Sound micer or Stereo mixer is high lighted.
Again if no default button then it is the default.
Check to be sure if Stereo Mixer is enable. Right click on Stereo Mixer.
Enter on Enable in the menu, otherwise hit escape.

Now close Sounds.
Next!
IN your Control Panel open the sound card folder.
RealTech Manager is the name.

Note### Important to remember.
I found during my playing with this stuff that in the RealTech Manager that
switching from one table does not work.
But there is a 2 places to chance tables. So if you try Control Tab it will
just like tabbing.
A lot confusing is on this page and here is what I found out.
Where we need to go is either 4 tabs up or 4 tabs down.
To help make more sense of this window we will tab up.
This first time this window opens you are on a list box to select your speakers
configurations.
Do not move through this box, all sounds may turn off. Its like the list box
that you land on when opening Sounds.
AS many have found out. Also,, with Jaws when tabbing around you may need to
do a (INsert+Tab key) to reread what your sitting on.
This is part of Vista and why they don't read with the regular read line
command they are dialog boxes. I suspect Jaws company will come around and do
something with this problem.

Ok what you need to do is tab up. Tabbing you can here those dialog boxes. It
should be 4 tabs up. NOw we want to open this dialog box open. It should be
the MIcrophone one we want. Again if you tab down four times you will ended up
on a tab bar where you can do the same thing by moving to the right to get to
microphone.
So, that explains what your seeing. Dialog boxes that open ups when you change
tables.

Ok, now if you tab up to get to Microphone. these items are for recording.
Right click on the MIcrophone dialog box. What I seen here is there is only
one item to select from the menu, which just change the table to the microphone.
Enter on it.
Lastly, move into the Microphone table itself by tabbing. Going through the
items look look for playback mute button.
This will be need to be unmuted to allow your voice to be heard during
recording with the Stereo mixer as default.
Before press that mute button it be wise to be sure to start the playback
levels low. Reason is that now your microphone is hot and any sounds like jaws
from your speakers can be heard through the mike and may cause feedback.
So, start with a level that is low. Then adjust it and other volumes that may
need adjusting.
You may need to lower the stereo mixer levels and that can be donw again by
either going to the dialog boxes or the tab bar and select it from there.

I like to see Jaws down the line be able to have tools to do these things for
us and those who may not so computer savvy.
I have created 2 frames for me to able to switch defaults when I open the sound
from the control panel. For my testing of what I have found out I am also,
using the software of Power MIxer. Quick Mix don't yet work for Vista and
really only thing I have the Power mixer doing is to mute the playback
microphone.

Setting up Jaws in a way to not hear Power Mix come up allows me not to hear
Jaws if I wasrecording.
So, nowam able to use short cuts and Jaws hot keys to record my voice and jaws
at the same time.

So long Crash
