Hmmmm, which films are those? I remember a police robot called rex 1 in one of the old teenaged mutant minja turtles episodes, ---- back in the first series, but I don't know if that was on Liam's mind, ---- afterall X1 is a pretty common and creapy designation for robots.
just look at the main character of the mainstream mega man X series, a robot just called X for one example. Beware the Grue!
