Like Outlook Express, I see VIP Mud being used bye the majority of people using it in its free mode. Beginners can get up and running in minutes with no screen reader fiddling or scripts, while the avid mudders can use the advanced features. Think of ZMud and all its goodies and think how for the most part these goodies are somewhat inaccessible. Enter VIP Mud. Last time I looked ZMud was $44. I wrote VipMud in frustration with the inaccessible mud clients out there. I talked with so many people who were frustrated with the limitations of GMud, the inaccessibility of ZMud, the lack of flexibility of Mush Client, the lack of sound and music support of TinTin+ , and took most of the good features in my opinion and the opinion of the beta team testers and put it in one package. The scripting language itself is filled with options for the VI. Just being able to control several different voices at once is worth the price of admission, which may be free in many cases. I have been a mudder for 20 years plus, and I am glad something is coming out that we can use to make mudding that much more enjoyable. ----- Original Message ----- From: David Greenwood To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 10:26 AM Subject: [GMAGamesTalk] Re: VIP Mud Release Actually it was just a working name standing for Visually Impaired People, but the beta test team got attached to the name and advised me not to change it. Vip Mud though can be used by everyone, not just VIP's. Just curious, what does the VIP stand for? I assume Visually Impaired, for the VI. I will be providing an official announcement on that day, but I thought I'd give a little heads-up for the avid mudders. The price of the game will be $30, but it will have a free version which will probably be sufficient for the casual mudder. In any event, there will be a 30 day trial providing full access to all of Vip Mud's features. All the details will be provided Monday.
