Well actually Thomas they're not completely resistant to magical powers, which seems to be the impression we've given you. Sometimes if you keep on using the same power for several rounds you might be able to land a hit and inflict some damage, but more often than not it isn't worth using the same power several rounds at the risk of not causing any harm to the enemy while taking serious damage yourself. While these particular enemies aren't nearly so common as regularr enemies they are becoming more common in later adventures. That's why it's best to get your powers to as high a level as you can. That way you can make what shots you do manage to land count for something.
