Hi all, Just found out about sryth and joined the list again after many years to see what people were saying. I'll tell you what, as I got older and busier Web games all seemed the same, and so did muds. Now sryth is a different animal entirely. It's something I can really sink my teeth into. I've got a comment and a few questions.
First, regarding the discussion of stoneskin fever. It's not just in the northern section, it's all of Trithik. I got it before I even got around to the northern section. Second, when you look at the list of pregenerated characters that Adventurers guild members can start with, they are classified as warrior, rogue or mage. I created my own characters from scratch and haven't seen any reference to these classifications. Can you choose one of these, and what affect if any does it have on the game? Finally the main point of this message,, a couple of questions about the murk quest. These might possibly have some s p o i l e r s. I've gotten Ethulle to join the shards making the disc. I didn't learn until later that I could learn a power from her. I left the murk because I got frustrated and wanted to do some other adventures. Now I can't seem to find her hut. Does ethulle disappear after she gives you the disc? I've already saved my game so I think I've lost that opportunity. Because I didn't follow the directions and now can't find the hut as a landmark, I can't locate the weapon she spoke of, or the temple. The wiki has a note that the directions to the temple need to be updated for a new layout. This seems to be correct, because they don't work. Does anyone have the directions for these two locations? There are far too many good adventures to spend my valuable sryth playing time wandering around a swamp fighting the same monsters. If I wanted that I could play one of the countless muds or bbs games. How many homework hours did I waste as a teenager? Usurper! Ugh!
