I wondered the same thing about the different armors. I don't think anyone except the game master can positively say which is better. We can only guess. At the start you'll want to wait to buy equipment, a really good equipment will cost you. The seven knight statues gives good equipment if you haven't done it already. Here is how to approach the quest. s p o i l e r s p a c e unequip your weapon before you attack the statues and then, just before you click the begin combat button, reequip your weapon.
