Hi, Welcome to the list. By the way if you are interested I also manage a game developers list at http://www.usagames.us/lists.php where you can ask game development questions and read the occasional programming tutorial or guide that is donated to the public list. Just this morning I submited a public guide to the developers list on how to play a sound using directX DirectSoun and Visual Basic 2008. In terms of game development I much prefer C# 2008 or VB 2008 over Cool basic which is pretty limited in what you can do with it right now. anyway, it is a nice little resource if you are getting started in writing games.
