Was he criticizing it? He is having a problem with it, he asked how to solve the problem. The only problem I have is that he said that the game is no good. Seeing as English is not his native language, I'm thinking that he means that there is a problem with the game, and he did not mean that the game is of no value. Maybe you are the one who shouldn't immediately jump to conclusions on what someone means?
