The game is based around Greek mythology, not Christian beliefs. In greek mythology corpses were buried with coins under their tongues so they could pay the fare for the ferry that crossed the River Styx. This was one of only two ways to get into the underworld of Tartarus (also sometimes referred to as Hades just like its ruler), either by crossing the river or going back to Earth to find a side entrance. Tartarus served as both Heaven and Hell. If you were good you went to the Elisian Fields and had endless fun. If you were evil you would be given a penance that would be impossible to ever complete, such as to fill a jar with water from a fountain and carry it to a pond, only the jar had holes in it so the water would dribble out before you got there. Or there was the famous tale of Tantalus, who murdered his nephew and made him into canibal stew for the Olympian gods. As punishment he was set chin deep in a stream of water and cursed with a terrible thirst. Each time he bent down to drink though the water would disappear.
I want you...to go upstairs...and kill that boy!

Subject: [Audyssey] tomb hunter questions

1. who's dead? in other words who's barried in the tomb?
2. is it possible to add a feature in the game where one can step over the
corpses?
3. does the tomb looks like the ancient tombs of bible times?
4. what about a tomb stone. the game voice could read at some point what is
written on the tomb stone.
5. how about a feature in the game where the player can knock down tomb
stones such as in ESP pinball clasic?
6. how about a feature where the player can smell balsam. in bible times
balsam is used to deal with the corpse of a human so that you don't smell
the rotten odour.
picking up balsam for bonus points might be a feature.
7. please describe how a harpie, centar and cyclops looks like?
