hey guys,
I was trying to do this for a few hours now. I wanted to get rid of the sound
directory johny dropped his triggers. instead of basically putting all the
triggers to point to where the sounds are he made all triggers go with
something like
D:\Music\sound effects\nameofthesound.wav
while after importing the gtp file gmud put the sounds in the folder of
C:\Program files\Gmud32\sounds\soundname.wav
a minority of the triggers point there. I tried to get all the triggers changed
from the UI but with over 300 triggers it's not easy.
so I could figure out GMud stores the triggers in some sort of a textfile.
that file is called worldlist.mud, so I pulled it up in notepad, gone to the
replace dialog and entered the following
find what: D:\MUSIC\Sound Effects
replace with: C:\Program Files\GMud32\Sounds\
then I clicked replace all and after a while it was done and everything looked
ok.
I pressed control s to save and alt f4'd out of the dialog, only to get a
message from GMUD saying that the "world file is from a newer version. loading
aborded"
and so everything I done is cleared. the mud list, the triggers and so on.
I'm guessing I'm saving it with the wrong encoding or something. anyone know
what am I doing wrong? I really wanna try it, but at it's current stage all I'm
getting are channel sounds.
