Hi Hayden,

A very easy way to have an edit box in VB6 is by using the InputBox.  You just 
need a line of code such as

a$ = InputBox("Enter your name", "")

Of course the "Enter your name" is just the prompt and can be changed to 
anything that you want.

You might also want to take a look at the MsgBox as well.
