As tom said, fightng games are generally considered hand-t-hand, based off
martial arts. And fightin games are usualy one-on-one. Fighting games can
also have weapons... soul calibur, Samurai Shodown, etc. DangerCity is
considered a beat em up. Beat em ups are games where one person takes on
tons and tons of enemies at the same time. Shooters are in their own
category.
