actually it can be done, a friend of mine set up some simple games using
javascript and a hidden flash object to handle sound playback, and they
work...

Unfortunately, that really isn't an easy thing to do in a brouser based
game.
the only way to do it reliably would be to make the game flash, and that
would cause innumerable access problems.

I just wished that they would add sound effects.
I think that the sound effects that Jim Kitchen has in his trucking game
would bring the the online version to life for both the blind drivers and
the sighted alike.
