You lose strength while hanging, not health. My guess is she'd been poisoned by a Harpie before she got to the rope. That's why I agree there needs to be a healing potion near the entrance to the level just in case the first enemy you run into happens to be a Harpie. That's happened to me on several occasions and I've had to quit the game because my health got too low to survive and there were no potions handy.

hmmm i guess you do, but I honestly havn't stayed on a rope long enough to find out.
if you get poisoned then you die.
On that note
For all the guys that can't beat the lamier.
I found that if I got the spear and or sword I would stand a chance.
Also if you get hit by a harpy just before the boss fight and you have a bladed weapon but one potion.
then its probably better to handle that first.
Also it appears you can duck flying attacks for a little giving you time to swing.

Yes, I get lost easily, maybe i should leave a trail of jems if I found enough <Smile> Also earlier I was hanging off a rope, in room 1 I think and got distracted for a minute by something outside. I still had my headphones on, so I know nothing hurt me, but suddenly I got a hurt sound. I climbed off the rope and found both my health and strength were at poor. I waited a bit but then my health went to criticle and I had no posions. Do you lose health if you stay on a rope too long or something? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas Ward" <thomasward1...@gmail.com>

Hi Hayden,

I don't know about the level being necessarily shorter. In terms of
horizontal movement the level isn't as long as before, but it is
taller with more rooms on top of each other. This provides more of an
equal virticle and horizontal movement in the game. I didn't want the
game to be a triditional side-scroller where you just move from left
to right and that's it. I wanted to be able to double back in places,
more opertunity to move up/down, and put things where you might not
expect them.

As for the footstep sounds I decided to use a dirt floor instead of
stone. Just thought that might be different. I was kind of getting
tired of a stone surface throughout the game. Although, if people
would prefer the stone floor instead I could certainly do that.

Hi Thomas,
Ok...impressiontime. Wow...this has come a long way from the alternative
recording (although I still love it). I noticed you re-replaced the
footsteplaced the footstep sounds. Why? Also--is it my imagination, or is Level 1 shorter? Over all, though, excellent and I can't wait for level 2!

Best Regards,
Hayden
