Hello Nick,

I understand your point of view, but I think you are a bit pretentious when you say "I cover everything and more in my tutorial". Of course, your tutorial is very good and rather well covers the whole topic of flying with FS9 and ItsYourPlane, but I don't think that putting together and offering a way to download the work of several persons should be considered as a waste of time.

I maintain my ofer to host the files of the BPP project, including your excellent tutorial. I really think that having a real server hosting the files is better than sharing SendSpace links that expire after a few weeks.

Nick, if you agree, I propose to upload your tutorial on my server so that we have a permanent link for the download. I will then provide an access to the FTP server for the persons who want to upload FS9 and FSX related materials.

Cheers,

Olivier

Nothing against Harron and John, but uploading the entire blind
pilot's project would be counterproductive, since I cover everything
and more in my tutorial. That should answer all of your questions
pertaining to IYP and FS9. If it doesn't, you can let one of us know,
as I believe I provide contact info at the end of the podcast. If I
didn't include it for the others, email me privately and I can provide
it.
The only file from the BPP that would be bennaficial as a in addition
to my tutorial would be Harron's demo of FS9 with radar contact.
best,
Nick

Hi Shaun,

I have a dedicated server with 1GB bandwidth and probably enough free disk
space to host a copy of the Blind Pilots project files.

If you agree, I can provide you an FTP account for upload and create an
associated web directory for people to download.

Let me know if you like the idea.

Regards,

Hello,
I was one of the three who started the blind pilots project, and I did
make an audio tutorial that describes how to fly using FS9 and IYP. I
will be uploading it to sendspace and posting a download link to the
list for those interested.

Hello,

I've recently purchased It's Your Plane, and I use it with Flight
Simulator X Service Pack 2.
I'm not a native english speaker, so it's sometimes a bit difficult to
get used to all the commands and to understand what is being said on
the
radio.
Fortunately now after 4 or 5 speech recognition training sessions, the
system understands 100% of my voice commands. I managed to follow the
various preflight/takeoff checklists, I managed to takeoff and
activate
the autopilot, but after that, I don't know exactly what to do
especially if I want to land in another airport.

The ItsyourPlane documentation generally answers my questions, but I
would like to knwo if there are audio tutorial that could help newbies
like me to be familiar with the basic flight procedures.

I've heard of the Blind Pilot Project
(http://www.blindpilotsproject.blogspot.com/), but the SendSpace links
to the MP3 tutorials that are proposed have expired.

I also watched several videos posted by Robert of the ItsYourPlane
project on Youtube, but they don't focus on the procedures to follow
for
a blind person.

Could someone help me ?

Many thanks in advance,

Olivier

Hi all,
Was just curious, is anyone on this list using the Microsoft Flight
Simulator Deluxe Edition together with itsyourplane?
I just about to start playing it and have already talked to a
visually
impaired flyer, but it would be fun to know if anyonne else is flying
as
well.
Best regards,
Christian
