Hi Fred, I had initially approved of the topic when we were discussing how to approach commercial/mainstream developers to add accessibility which was more or less on topic as it was game related. However, after a number of messages the subject changed to general proofreading and a couple of people began flaming the other list members. At that point I decided it was time to close the topic and move on. Weather you agree or disagree with the way I handled the "taking blind gamers serious" topic the fact of the matter is I am one of the list moderators and it is my job to make decisions like that on a regular basis. If you don't like the way I personally do things you can contact Kevin or Damien at [email protected] and file a complaint with them, but challenging a moderator publicly on list is not the proper way to do it. The guidelines clearly state personal issues regarding a moderator's behavior or decision is to be handled privately by the other moderators of the list.
As far as moderation goes I already explained that so I really don't get your point below. I clearly stated if list members continued to post messages on that specific topic they would temporarily be moderated. If you or anyone else stops posting on said topic then there isn't anything to worry about. Cheers!
