Did a quick bit of Youtubery to check it out. From watching a few vids, reading the wiki entry and a couple of reviews, I'd say we're probably out of luck. It's 2d yep, but the maps still come across as a lot bigger than the old-school 2d beat 'em ups back in the day. I also didn't find a Youtube clip where other players voices or attacks panned, the music seemed pretty loud so I couldn't pick out footsteps either, might be a case of hack and slash, but not in a good way. Like I said, it was just a quick check because I'm not on a proper connection. Considering it's free to do so, might download this over Christmas when I'll have more than my iPhone hotspot to work with.
On a vaguely similar note, has anybody tried out the OCR function of Jaws13 to read menus, options or the like of any PC-based games yet? Could be a pretty big step forward for us on paper.
