there are other things to consider as well when it comes to online. for
instance: did you guys know that on ps3, third party developers pay per
megabyte uploaded when they put up demos? free will eventually hurt the
consumer in the longrun. it's just not sustainable. the more people play
online, the worse it'll get, and the more congestion and the like there will
be. sony has plus, but with plus they give so much content away, that I fear
it'll eventually be discontinued and replaced with something else. also
consider firmware updates: the last couple of updates have contained
features only for playstation plus members. like cloud saves. so if you want
cloud saves, you better cough up some cash. lol. I don't think this whole
free online thing will last to be honest.

Well, it's a good discussion, and quite frankly, I think a lot of people
are quite willing to pay for it. The online experience is very smooth from
what I hear, though I don't know it from first-hand experience. I'm
determined to stay open-minded here... because I do think that an xbox
could be worthwhile further down the line.

The one thing I absolutely! Hate! About the xbox, and I'm know I'm being
strong, but that's the way I want you to see it guys, is that you have to
pay for your online play! Now that is a rip off. You pay a lot for the
console, a loot for the games and dlc, then they make you charge for the
online play and other functionality! That's daylight robbery!
