Actually, i'd still myself regard pipe 2, along with the esp pinball titles,
as possibly the best arcade games created in audio, and I find myself going
back to them occasionally just for a quick blast, sinse when all is said and
done they were well put together. it's just a shame other things took justin
away from developement, sinse I'd love to see what he could do, particularly
in other genres than arcade. I know Bsc had plans in that direction at one
time with castlequest, a shooter and bsc football, and it's rather sad, ----
albeit understandable they never came out.
Still, at least the arcade games they made were good quality.
Troopanum 2 is a classic, and while personally I'd probably rate jd and
alien outback as more distinct space invaders games, i still find the game
extremely fun.
Pipe 2 is imho their best game, an arcade game which really challenges by
having lots of things going on at once, and uses it's sound extremely well.
Hunter I think is my least favourite of their main games, sinse the
challenges in the 10 levels are all fairly basic without extra randomness or
lots of different factors to watch, but the game does have very superior
audio ambience and a great atmosphere (it's got some particularly grusome
death sounds, especially in the bone pipes level).
so, bsc definitely well done arcade games, though arcade games is what they
are.
