Hi Scott, thanks for the help, I tried it and was told I was whispering, but
then I tried again and it didn't work, I think mine is buggy. I just did /w
aprone hi. Not sure why it won't work sometimes.

You've almost got it. There doesn't need to be a space between the
slash and the w.
As an example, if I were going to whisper to Aprone, I'd write this:
/w aprone who's at the controls currently, our lord and master Jeremy
or his kitty of doom?
Try it out, shout if you're still stuck.
