Hi Lindsay, Well, the best place to start is what does she like? What I mean by that even if she has never played any games before she probably has interests in movies, TV shows, books, etc that would apply to games. If she is into science fiction she might like something like Troopenum Alien Outback, or Shades of Doom. If she is into fantasy she might like Entombed because of its fantasy/roll playing setting. There are plenty of interactive fiction games that also have a fantasy setting as well. If she likes animals she might like a game like Super Dog's Bone Hunt. Basically, any interest, no matter how common, usually will apply to certain games too.
