Hi Ben, FTE stands for Facing the Empire. Its an old Dos turn-based strategy game I agreed to port to Windows for Lisa.
In short, you are the commander of the Lyran fleet, and you must lead the Lyran forces to victory against the evil Morte Star Empire. You get to command four battlegroups containing battleships, dreadnaughts, and scout ships. You can upgrade your ships from one class to another and build new ships as your fleets suffer losses. The objective of the game is to find the Morte Empire's base of operation and destroy their flagship. Once you destroy the enemy flagship the Morrte Empire will retreat from Lyran space thus freeing the Lyran Federation from Morte imperial rule. Cheers!
