Hi Dan.

To be honest I never really uunderstand people's reluctance to write character stats, to me it just seems people are doing themselves out of some really great gamebooks like those on www.arborell.com, not to mention lone wolf.

Maybe it's because I've done enough tabletop rp that keeping that sort of info is no trouble to me, or maybe it's because I have played some of the paper originals with a friend of mine reading and me keeping the stats, but personally i'd really advise people to get used to that, sinse it's far easier to write a choice based book than to program in all the stats etc.

I plan on writing more books myself using Aprone's dark grue propgram, and they'll certainly involve having to keep a character sheet.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

i've tried a few of these, and while the length definitely varies,
i've found none to be awful, also i like how there is nearly always an
insentive to replay, as one called Marine raider is rather short, but
there are 7 possible awards you can get which arn't that easy, as i've
as yet only gotten 3 so far and that was by doing the things i thought
were logical.
some of these are extremely good though and makes me want to try games
like lone wolf but i've never had to write down and keep track of
stats before so hope it'll be easy enough to get into.

Hi al.

I'm quite familiar with this site. they do several games, choice of
broardsides, dragons, zombies, and several others, all are pretty well
written and involve stats to to help with character developement.

they'll get a page on audiogames.net when I can get around to it, but for
anyone who wants to check them out they can be found on
http://www.choiceofgames.com/

Oh, and btw, the games are created by a scripting language, and they also
offer this to ameter authors for free too, and you can download and play
several other people's choiceof style games too, some are dire, but some
extremely good.

All the best,

Dark.

Hi gang,
Looking thru iPhone apps and found a few by something called "choice
of".One is broadsides and the other is dragon. While both are free on the

iPhone, they are also web browser games.
Essentially they are a choose your own adventure like game with some
extra's such as character stats and the like. It is fully accsessible on

both machines and it was kind of fun so I thought I would jot it down for

your perusal. The link is below.
