Hello Johnny, Not sure how familiar you are with installing and using VB 6 apps on Windows 7 but the following checklist may help diagnose your problem.
1. As of Windows Vista and later the Visual Basic 6 libraries no longer ship with Windows. To install these files you should install them either through the Microsoft Visual Basic 6 installation or via Jim Kitchen's Winkit setup. Did you install Winkit? 2. Beginning with Windows Vista Windows now has a new security feature called User Account Control or UAC for short. While helpful in increasing security it isn't backwards compatible with a number of Windows applications. Did you disable UAC? 3. All 64-bit versions of Windows have two program file directories. The c:\Program Files directory is for 64-bit apps and the c:\Program Files (x86) directory is for 32-bit apps. Make sure all of the game files are in c:\Program Files (x86)\Kitchensinc as this is the proper location for 32-bit apps on Windows 7. Did you check to see if the installation was installed to the correct location? 4. For testing purposes did you try Microsoft Anna to make sure the crash isn't related to installing and using an older 32-bit voice? Cheers!
