Hmmm Tom, this is odd. I've done a general search on the if archive directory, and there is still no games catagory listed in their infocom directory, and I couldn't find arthur or leather goddesses in their games/zcode directory.

According to Baf's guide to the if archive, things are still the same, and only some shorter demos such as minizork and specifically released free games are available, , see http://www.wurb.com/if/company/1

I did once see several old infocom titles available on the textmode site (sadly no longer available), a general archive for old dos titles (where I originally got fallthru from), but other than that, the only place I've seen a full selection was the iluminian site I mentioned.

Beware the grue! (quite literally).

Dark.

Hi Dark,

Shrugs. All I can say is I got almost everything Infocom has made from
ifarchive.org. I got Arthur, Wishbringer, Station Fall, Leather
Goddesses, Hitch Hikers of the Galaxy, all the Zork games, and several
other Infocom games from their not long ago. I don't know anything
about their policy other than I was able to get them from their. So
perhaps whatever policy you speak of has changed?

Cheers!

Hi Tom.

last I checked the if archive wasn't allowed to host the classic infocom
games, because of the copywrite monster! never mind that it has been
literally 20 years sinse there was any kind of release of the games and the

only thing done with anything to do with infocom by activision was selling the Zork trademark to jolt online for the utterly terrible legends of Zork
game that has now closed (thank goodness).

Have if archive changed their policy?

Beware the grue!
Dark.

Hi Keith,

Sure. Head over to ifarchive.org and you can find everything and
anything to do with interactive fiction including the classic Infocom
games. :D

Anyone know where I can find the complete list of Infocom games for
download? Dark posted a website with the games with the included
invisiclues built into the game files, but the website would not load
for
me. A 404 not found error I believe.

Thanks

Keith
