Hi tom.
Perhaps some words of explanation on that might be helpful? I've been asked
this on the audiogames.net forum as well in the news topic about s5, and of
course can't answer, having no experience of nvda and only limited of jaws
(and that was an earlier version).
It would be good if it could! be played with nvda however sinse it is
obviously freely available, indeed if nvda didn't run into the same issues
as Jaws that might be a reasonable alternative until someone can work out
some scripting.
All the best,
Dark.

Hi Dark,
Well, actually Smugglers 5 is playable using NVDA. The problemis that
a lot of NVDA users don't really know how to use the NVDA review
cursor properly. In particular Jaws users treat the NVDA commands as
they would Jaws which is the wrong approach and that is why it doesn't
perform for them. :D

Unfortunately, that is a problem with nvda, however I don't think it will
be
perminant.
Back when s4 was released nvda didn't even have a virtual curser so it
was
utterly unplayable. I know the nvda virtual curser needs some tweaking
but I
expect that will come in the future.
Beware the Grue!
Dark.
