I uninstaled the mush z installation I had on my system, rebooted, and then
installed the package from the link you suppolied below. It installed, did
the update, and then I hit enter on the ALter Aeon icon on my desktop and
got the same error as below:

I'm not understanding what the heck is going on. I could play the version
just before the updated version.

Hi Kieth.
It is rather true that the mushZ soundpack page is a little confusing in
which bits you need because it lists all the update patches separately
that oriol puts into the pack before! the download to the actual pack
itself.
However, this is where audiogames.net can help, sinse on the alteraeon
page of the db I have put a direct link to download just! the main setup
file for the soundpack.
So, uninstall everything, then just download
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2142080/mush-z.exe
and install that, and you'll have everything you need, (it'll even run the
check for updates option while it installs).
Then you can just use the "play alteraeon" option from the program group
and it'll instantly launche the pack and connect to alter. in the same
program group you'll also find the "check for updates option" which you
should run occasionally to see if Oriol has made any changes to the pack.

I reinstalled Mush z using the programs available through the blind links
on the Alter Aeon site.
I installed the full mush z pack and then installed the patch over the
contents of the folder in the my documents folder. I hit enter on the
alter aeon shortcut on the desktop and windows wanted me to find the
appropriate program to open the file.
I then hit enter on the mush z shortcut on the desktop after installation
and it gave me an error about drop box.
Any help to get this stuff resolved would be greatly appreciated.
