I don't think the E-mail itself was a virus from the list, rather a spambot
who registered and then sent the same mail to everyone's address it could
find.
the link in the mail may! however give a virus which is why I wrote the
alert.
Beware the grue!¬

configured to strip attachments from outgoing posts so no one should
