I would not suggest that AppleVis is inappropriate. I would, however, like to compare this request with another request received yesterday.
Yesterday, when SixthSense was mentioned, there were a few people who were asking about the app rather than looking for information themselves. Perhaps to those individuals a Google search or a glance at APpleVis to see if someone had posted the app would be in order. This request was about an app that had been mentioned a few weeks back in a confusing double-topic thread. The poster did not spell the app correctly in their topic, leading me to imagine that a Google Search would turn up nothing useful. The fact that one thread is recent and the other not so recent is the primary deciding factor for me on the appropriateness of the request. Also, keep in mind that AppleVis is a site designed to review and store information about apps that are submited to it by the community. If the community has not submitted an app, it won't be there. This means that there is a certain obligation to submit apps for community perusal. Given the staggering number of apps available in general and a large number of those apps which are at least partially accessible, and also given that some inaccessible apps are listed on AppleVis, the site itself is a good source for information, though it is hardly a one stop shop.
