You've been more than helpful, I've lit the torch but still cant find the
vinegar, however I'll keep looking and experiment with the cross to see if I
can get it to work.

Actually, I could never figure out the sign of the cross, nor can I get the
objectives feature to work, though the gesture is much simpler. Perhaps the
developer will fix this in the upcoming update? As for the vinegar, its in
the upstairs hallway. As I recall, I only saw it once I'd lit the torch in
the fireplace downstairs.
