Yeah, my teeth still hurt :/ I'll contact the authors to clarify the license of the "post-cleanup" data, with the freedesktop list in Cc:. They may not be opposed to free them actually. Though, if http://twitter.com/stephenjsweeney is to be trusted, Stephen Sweeney just went on vacation in a place that lacks Internet, and I can't find contact information for Richard. It makes sense to wait until Stephen is back. I think I'll still file a RM: request against starfighter and viruskiller, and re-add those packages when/if we can package them without the "stolen"/pre-cleanup data. It's been a year already. > Given Hans talking to upstream, I think it's implied that > what's left after cleaning should be distributable ( > https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-games-list/2008-August/msg00030.html > ); but I'm not the person to ask. I think we need a clear statement from the authors to get this over with for good, preferrably in the source archive or at least on a public mailing list. I'd love to hear from Hans about the free replacements status for the data btw. Was any progress made eventually? Afaics starfighter and viruskiller are absent from recent Fedora releases, and the blob* packages lack sound files. -- Sylvain _______________________________________________ Games mailing list Games@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/games
