Just to clarify what this patch does: gamin will send NUL bytes again as part of the authentication process, and only if the PID information cannot easily be determined is the (-1) saved into the connection's pid field, i.e. on NetBSD. The existing functionality of for Linux and FreeBSD is preserved.
