I’m interested in the project “Adding Ganeti provider to Vagrant”. I'm a MS student at IIIT-Hyderabad, India. I maintain a private cloud running OpenStack in my research lab. I've good experience with Python, Ruby, Bash, openstack, Xen/KVM and automation(chef/puppet). I understand that you plan to integrate Ganeti as a Vagrant provider. I’ve gone through Vagrant’s dev. documentation and it seems a Vagrant’s provider plugin needs to be written. Unlike standard Virtualbox provider, this one will communicate with Ganeti server through REST API. I’ve an in-house OpenStack installation. Hence, I’m trying to build a basic plugin for adding Openstack provider to Vagrant. This will give me a better understanding of the project and help me write a better proposal.
