Reproduced the behavior. To clarify the symptoms:
- If following the intended procedure of a master failover in
a two-node cluster, i.e., do a 'gnt-cluster master-failover --no-voting',
everything works as intended and you end up in a working one-node cluster.
- If, however, you forget that you are on a cluster without a healthy
majority,
the operations breaks in the described way.
So, the problem is mainly about rejecting master failovers without
--no-voting
in a cluster without a healthy majority, and doing so with a useful error
message.
