I added some autoconf stuff to gmetad to allow disabling building of the expat/rrdtool/XML-Parser. (Just like we did with gmond). I've ran most of this code for a month or so in the gmetad debian packages I've made, so I'm pretty sure it all works.
Also included some nice autoconf macros I found that'll check to see if there the necessary Perl modules installed. Also made some patches to $etc_dir, $log_dir and such in gmetad.in so that they can be placed in FHS-compliant places if so desired. By default, everything remains in /usr/local/gmetad, unless specified otherwise. All sorts of other files are touched in this checkin thanks to autoreconf, but not otherwise changed. -- Preston Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> UNIX Analyst Purdue University Physics Computer Network GPG Fingerprint: 6D27 5DAA F58D C42B 7A6B 8F48 04E4 2465 F353 03F6
