I added a "check for updates" link to the footer of ganglia pages (Good
idea Matt!). This leads to the URL:
http://ganglia.sourceforge.net/downloads.php?component=gmetad-webfrontend&;
amp;version={version}
which can determine whether there exists a newer version of the
component. I will update the downloads.php page soon.
I have also made a change to gmond that allows more efficient memory
handling for the metric values. It also increases the max size of a
gmetric value payload to 1400 characters (still keeping the whole thing
in one ethernet packet).
