if you want to try the summary test on your own data, just do

% gunzip < ganglia-3.0.0.tar.gz
% cd ganglia-3.0.0
% ./configure
% make
% cd tests
% telnet g2_xml_box 8649 > sample2.xml
( you need to remove the first few lines that telnet appends)
% ./test-tree

the test-tree program reads in the sample2.xml file and outputs g3
summarized (and detailed)... xml.
