i've had some time this weekend to update the librrd code to allow for querying/fetching data from a database (see ./test/test.c for example).

i've compiled and run the simple test program on linux, solaris, windows, macosx and {free|open|net}bsd.

when i have a little time, i'll build a test suite (to show that librrd data is consistent with rrdtool and gather benchmarks) and create the data marshalling functions.
