Well probably because previously the "Fre" in the spec file did not allow you to run rpmbuild -ta, and you had to extract the .spec file and build it with rpmbuild -ba. Mind you, the second method works, but I thought it is more convenient if we can just create the tarball and build RPMs directly. Cheers, Bernard
