One of the items on the 3.1.x wishlist is to change the units of
metrics to the base unit, i.e. if the unit used to be GB, we change it
to Bytes and let RRDtool deal with the scaling.  If we decide to go
ahead with this, it will potentially change the granularity of the
data being stored in the RRD.
