I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's fairly easy to debug the rrdgraph
calls.  Go to graph.php in your frontend install, go down to bottom where it
says "$debug = 0" and set that to 1.  That will make the images output text
(the command that gets run to generate the graph) instead of outputting the
graph itself.  Paste the contents of one of those messages here (you'll want
to use 'view image' from your browser to view a single image's command
directly).  Also, try to run that command at a terminal and paste the
results of that here as well.  When you run it at a terminal, pipe it to a
file like " > image.gif".  Also, you'll want to download and install the
php-gd package if you haven't already (for the pie graph support).
