I downloaded 2.3.0 and now it compiles on my IRIX system without a hitch, but doesn't run:
bash-2.05# /usr/sbin/gmond --debug=6 creating cluster has for 1024 nodes gmond initialized cluster hash mcast_join() setsockopt() IP_MULTICAST_LOOP error: Invalid argument gmond could not join the multicast channel: Invalid argument The system has route to the multicast address, which I was able to verify by ping 239.2.11.71. Any ideas? thanks, -ryan On Tue, 23 Apr 2002, Ryan Sweet wrote: > > Alan, > > Thanks for the IRIX patch - I'm trying to test it, but am having trouble > getting it to build: > > I think that this is something wrong with my Irix build environment, I'm > not sure where to look without spending more time than I have currently. > The system is IRIX 6.5.11 with the may 2002 release of sgi freeware (ie > the latest sgi open source tools from freeware.sgi.com.
