From the rest of their gibberish, it seems to me they have quite an
uneducated/narrow view of what a intelligent person is :)
That means, if I recall correctly, that it's a pretty faithful
interpretation of the original Weishaupt-founded Illuminati.
Sounds to me like we're all better off as Discordians. Which is
appropriate for this list, as if you think about it Ganglia uses an Erisian
model of control and authority. "We Discordians must stick apart," as the
saying goes. Even in Ganglia 3 the model's only modification basically
consists of a machine-level interpretation of "ask the old guy, he's been
here the longest."
Isn't it ironic that SNMP has the concept of the "community" but that each
SNMP agent is isolated from its peers and knows almost nothing about its
network except for the entities that poll it or that it sends traps to? It
actually sounds a lot more like the cell of a covert organization - it's
only responsible for what it deals with locally, and sends reports and
alerts to its patron source as well as anyone who knows the SECRET CODE.
Whereas Ganglia actually shares information among all members of its
multicast channel, which is a lot closer to my definition of "community." ;)
Ah well, leave it to me to tie Ganglia into all this. :)
