brent, federico and i are in the process of pulling together data for a paper on ganglia.
in the "evaluation and experience" section we would like to talk about experiences people have had with ganglia. if you are interested in sharing your experiences we me i'd really appreciate it. here are some question i'm most interested in. what IS the largest ganglia cluster out there? this could be fun as well as imformative. i know of a number of large (500-1000 node) clusters have been built.. but are there any 2000? 3000?... larger? what scalability issues did you face when taking ganglia to the extreme? where any customizations necessary? what kind of footprint did ganglia make in terms of cpu, memory, network, etc? the more detailed information you have the better of course. i really will appreciate the feedback from the ganglia community and this would be a way for you to get mentioned in a professional journal. -- matt
