Moving from 2.5.3 to 2.5.4, on a FreeBSD 4.4 machine Compiled gmond 2.5.4 in a non-root account, still running from a non-root account
Got a minor complaint about setuid in this new version, so I uncommented 'no_setuidgid on', never needed it on anyway Next problem, the new version had trouble with metric_init because it couldn't open /dev/mem I commented out the bulk of what was in that function, I think it will only affect swap reporting, and had the function return successfully Thanks, Lester
