Hi all, It seems that with my ganglia version (2.2.4 and 2.2.5) the "string" type data produced by gmetric doesn't show up on the web frontend.
When I give the command: gmetric --name comment --value "This is my comment" --type string -ieth0 -szero it doesn't show up. On the other hand, when I type: gmetric --name comment --value "This is my comment" --type uint32 -ieth0 -szero it does show up! The only problem with that is that the graphs stop working, so this is not an option. I want to put some useful information as a string, for instance the current running top process or so. Has anyone noticed this behaviour or know a workaround?
