On FreeBSD, I've found that I need GD in addition to the default options in php4. I'm not sure which other options I need, but the defaults are: CTYPE MYSQL OVERLOAD PCRE POSIX SESSION TOKENIZER XML ZLIB -- Brooks -- Any statement of the form "X is the one, true Y" is FALSE.
